Hi! I’m Thaïs Breton

Thaïs is a french filmmaker and photographer who was born in Reunion Island and grew up in Singapore. Her life has revolved around image since a very young age, coming from a family of artists and accompanying her mother on multiple Fine art projects, it was always clear that her passion would become her life.

In 2014, she graduated from Singapore’s Puttnam School of Film in LASALLE College of the Arts with a BA (hons) specializing in post production and directing for documentary. She received an award for excellency in Arts as well as the Mcnally Award for Excellence in the Arts which is awarded to LASALLE’s most outstanding student of each year’s graduating cohort. Her thesis film “The Collectors” also received The Cathay’s award.

Wearing many different hats in the audiovisual field, be it with camera work, directing, editing, grading and photography, Thaïs has been working her passion for the past 10 years. Starting as a freelancer in both France and Asia, she has been working for award-winning creative companies for the past 5 years, polishing up her expertise in advertising videos and photography working for international clients.

In her free time, Thaïs is a moto rider and a surfer, but above all she continues shooting in both of her worlds, Europe and Asia, she has multiple ongoing documentary and photography projects, and frequently shoots for local craftsmen, touring bands and concerts.
